A meeting of the office bearers/executive committee members/members of Global Punjabi Association (Regd.) was held under the Chairmanship of S. Iqbal Singh Lalpura Ji, Patron of the Association on Friday, March 10, 2023 at 11:00 am at 95-Lodhi Estate, New Delhi. The following office bearers/executive members/life members/special invitees were present.
The following decisions were unanimously taken by the executive committee in anticipation of the approval of the general house.
AGENDA ITEM NO: 1. To confirm the proceedings of meeting held on February 24, 2023.

AGENDA ITEM NO: 2. To organise a press conference to highlight the aims and objectives and activities of GPA.
A press conference was held at 95-Lodhi Estate, New Delhi. S. Iqbal Singh Lalpura Ji Chairman National Commission for Minorities and Patron Global Punjabi Association chaired the session and he highlighted the vision and mission of the association. He explained that the association is non-political, non-commercial, and secular. It’s main objective is to safeguard the interests of Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiyat. The association has resolved to work for Hindu-Sikh Unity, to promote Punjabi language, culture, and rich traditions of Punjab. The association will work for the promotion of education, health services, agriculture, industry etc. It will promote and protect rich spiritual, religious, and ethical traditions of Punjab. The association will spread the message of love, peace and harmony as enshrined in the Guru Granth Sahib and preached by the Great Gurus. Any aboriginal Punjabi who can speak, read, and write Punjabi can be its member.
Dr. Kulwnat Singh Dhaliwal, the President of the association highlighted the activities of the association. He said that the GPA is for SARBAT DA BHALA and universal in its area of operation. The GPA will form District, State, Regional, National, and international chapters to reach to every nook and corner of the world. The GPA will try to involve all community leaders, who are interested in the welfare of humanity.
AGENDA ITEM NO: 3. To finalise the forthcoming events of the GPA.
It was unanimously decided that the association will celebrate the common Hindu-Sikh Festivals of India to promote the peace and unity among various sections of the society. It will observe these festivals at national, regional, state, and local level. The association will celebrate the Gurpurabs, National days like Republic Day, Independence Day, Maha Shivratri, Holi, Tian, Raksha Bandhan, Janmashtami, Gandhi Jayanti, Dussehra, Diwali, Christmas, Veer Bal Diwas etc. To create awareness, the GPA will organise conferences, seminars, workshops, awareness camps, contact programmes, brainstorming sessions etc. It will also arrange walks, yatras, marches, marathon etc. The GPA and World Cancer Care both organisations will work together for the upliftment of the society by providing quality education and health services. The world Cancer Care society will organise free testing camps in the country and provide free medicines to the needy people.
The World Cancer Care society has already organised 400 free medical testing camps in the country in the memory of 400th Shahidi Gurpurab of Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Ji. The concluding free medical camp will be organised at Gurudwara Majnu ka Tilla, New Delhi on April 14, 2023. The same day Baisakhi will be celebrated by GPA in New Delhi at National Level.
AGENDA ITEM NO: 4. To assess and evaluate the membership drive.
It was decided that the screening committee will scrutinise all the applications for membership and will allow membership to those aspirants who can contribute to the society and the association in a substantive way. Only persons with clean track record and good reputation as sincere citizens, will be enrolled as members. The office bearers/executive committee members or the founder members may recommend the names of members to be enrolled.
AGENDA ITEM NO: 5. Miscellaneous if any with the permission of the chair.
It was discussed and unanimously decided that the Baisakhi celebration will be held at 95-Lodhi Estate, New Delhi. S. Ajayveer Singh Lalpura will make all the necessary arrangements with the help of local members of GPA. North Zone Cultural Centre will be requested to provide teams for cultural show.
The meeting ended with the Vote of thanks to the chair and esteemed members.
