An informal face-to-face meeting of the office bearers/executive committee members/life members of Global Punjabi Association (Regd.) and special invitees was held on Thursday June 29, 2023 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm under the Chairmanship of S. Iqbal Singh Lalpura Ji, Patron of the Association at Ambience Mall PVR, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, and dinner was hosted at 95, Lodhi-Estate, New Delhi. The following were present:
AGENDA ITEM NO: 1. To confirm the proceedings of online meeting no: 8 held on Wed May 31, 2023.
The executive committee unanimously confirmed the proceedings of the meeting held on Wed May 31, 2023.
AGENDA ITEM NO: 2. To share the feedback of Members on various issues of the association.
All the members gave their feedback on the activities being undertaken by the association and suggested that the special teams formed by the association must discuss and finalise the monthly activities. The members also suggested that major programs be organised on par India basis
AGENDA ITEM NO: 3. To involve film industry celebrities for the development of Punjab, Punjabi and Punjabiyat.
Punjabi film industry has emerged as a big industry and has influence on the masses. The industry is playing a vital role in the promotion of Punjabi language and culture. All the celebrities present during the premiere show of ‘Carry on Jatta 3’ promised to work for the promotion of Global Punjabi Association.
AGENDA ITEM NO: 4. Photo-session for promotion of GPA.
All the celebrities had a photo session with the members of GPA, Special Invitees, and their families. The pictures of the photo session appeared on Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, and other social media handles which promoted and popularised the GPA in a big way. In fact, the major focus of GPA is to promote Punjabi language and culture and this program proved of great help in spreading good information.
AGENDA ITEM NO: 5. To attend the dinner at 95, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi.
All the office bearers, executive members, life members and celebrities had a dinner at 95, Lodhi Estate, New Delhi which was hosted by S. Iqbal Singh Lalpura Ji. It was an occasion for the GPA members to interact with top politicians and celebrities.
AGENDA ITEM NO: 6. Miscellaneous if any with the permission of the chair.
Since it was an informal meeting of GPA, no miscellaneous agenda was tabled.
AGENDA ITEM NO: 7. Vote of thanks
All the members of the GPA thanked S. Iqbal Singh Lalpura ji, the Patron and their family members for organising such an interactive and entertaining programme and also hosting dinner.
The meeting ended with the Vote of thanks to the chair and esteemed members.
