The faculty members and students of Nursing College, College of Education and other

Summary of Comments

• If India has a uniform Indian Penal Code (IPC), it should must have Uniform Civil Code (UCC). It will be better if the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) be called Indian Civil Code (ICC) like IPC.
• All religions, their religious Granths emphasize fatherhood of God and brotherhood of mankind. All religions advocate Sarbat da Bhala and welfare of humanity.
• All the religions are based on equality, justice, kindness, and respect for human dignity.
• Those who want protection of daughters/women and mankind cannot go against Uniform Civil Code (UCC or ICC).
• Extremism leads to Terrorism. No religion teaches extremism or terrorism. If we organise a national seminar on ‘Interfaith Unity’ under the umbrella of NCM and devise the philosophic basis of Civil Code, it will be acceptable to all communities and religions

• A uniform Civil Code will act as a binding force, remove the differences, and pave the wave for strong united nation.
• Sikhism is the most modern religion and teachings of Great Gurus can form the basis of balanced uniform Civil Code for India. We can also take in to consideration the teachings of other Indian Religions for this purpose.
• There are no contradictions in acceptance of Uniform Civil Code in any religion. Only the vested interests creating terror at social and political level.
• An awareness campaign needs to be undertaken at national level by holding seminars, debates, symposiums, workshops, discussions etc.
• The implementation of Uniform Civil Code (UCC) or in other words Indian Civil Code will empower the women, weaker sections of the society and the downtrodden communities consequently making the nation strong. It will also eradicate the extremism, terrorism, and fissiparous tendencies.
• The implementation of Uniform Civil Code (UCC or ICC) will make India secular in the true sense and remove the illusions created by vested interests.
