Global Punjabi Association Holds Meeting to Discuss Interfaith Punjabi Unity Chandigarh, June 20, 2025 – 

The Global Punjabi Association (GPA) held a meeting at the UT Guest House in Chandigarh, focusing on promoting interfaith harmony and cultural unity within the Punjabi community.

Under the leadership of Kulwant Singh Dhaliwal, President of GPA, ————-( name of senior participants)the meeting aimed to strengthen the concept of Punjab, Punjabi, and Punjabiyat, celebrating the shared culture, language, and legacy of the region. GPA’s guiding motto, “Celebrate that which unites, understand that which differs,” reflects its commitment to fostering unity and understanding among diverse communities.

During the meeting, GPA members discussed ways to revive the Punjabi language, culture, and traditions that grew from the region’s multicultural villages. They also explored initiatives to help youth reconnect with their ancestral roots and Punjabi identity.

GPA organize joint celebrations across religious lines, including:

Guru Nanak Jayanti to celebrate spiritual wisdom for all humanity
Krishna Janmashtami to celebrate dharma
Baisakhi, as integral to Punjab and also the birth of the Khalsa
Lohri as a symbol of Punjabi rural and folk tradition
Independence Day & Republic Day as a shared national legacy

These events will promote inclusivity and unity, highlighting the shared values and heritage of the Punjabi community.
Since the GPA believes in dialogue on every issue will be bridge between Punjabi’s and
Government agencies to promote our common culture and understanding.
