Proceedings of the online Executive Committee Meeting dated February 24, 2023
A meeting of the office bearers/executive committee members/members of Global Punjabi Association (Regd.) was held under the Chairmanship of S. Iqbal Singh Lalpura Ji, Patron of the Association on Friday, February 24, 2023 at 3:00 pm. The following office bearers/executive members/life members/special invitees were present.

The following decisions were unanimously taken by the executive committee in anticipation of the approval of the general house.
AGENDA ITEM NO: 1. To confirm the proceedings of online meeting held on January 30, 2023.

AGENDA ITEM NO: 2. To finalise the major functions/activities of the GPA during the year 2023.
It was unanimously decided that GPA will organise and celebrate all the major common Hindu – Sikh Festivals of Punjab like Gurpurbs, Lohri, Maha Shivratri, Baisakhi, Tian, Raksha Bandhan, Janmashtami, Dussehra, Diwali, Veer Bal Diwas. India will be divided into four regions viz: North, South, East and West. Every region will have Regional President of GPA. All the regions will try to celebrate the local regional festivals at their own level.
AGENDA ITEM NO: 3. To organise press conferences in the national capital and other places to highlight the existence of Global Punjabi Association (GPA).
It was decided to hold a press conference in New Delhi in the first or second week of March, 2023 and highlight the vision, mission and objectives of the GPA. Similarly, press conferences will be held in other major cities of Punjab/India. Dr. K.S. Dhaliwal has already been doing a good job through his videos on social media.
AGENDA ITEM NO: 4. To apprise the members the activities undertaken by the association during the last month.
A seminar on Inter-faith dialogue on World Peace was organised in Anand Group of Colleges at Amritsar on January 23, 2023 by Global Punjabi Association (GPA) in collaboration with Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, India. S. Iqbal Singh Ji, Lalpura, Chairman National Commission for Minorities was the Chief Guest. The effort was appreciated by the audience and the Media

AGENDA ITEM NO: 5. Miscellaneous if any with the permission of the chair.
The Chairperson of the meeting S. Iqbal Singh Ji, Lalpura highlighted the need to focus on Hindu-Sikh Unity and Peace in Punjab. He advised the members of GPA to work in this direction for the development of Punjab, Punjabiyat and Punjabi Language, Literature and Culture.
The meeting ended with the Vote of thanks to the chair and esteemed members.
